Product Quality

Quell smoke alarms are manufactured from quality materials and processes that meet the requirements of the standard ISO 9001, Quality Management Systems. Quell smoke alarms are Activfire Listed and are certified to Australian Standard AS 3786.

Legislation

All residents must have at least one working smoke alarm installed on each level of their home. This includes owner occupied, rental properties, relocatable homes or any other residential building where people sleep. For NEW homes, the smoke alarms must be mains-powered (with battery back-up in case of power failure). They must be installed by a qualified electrician.

Replacing the Alarm

It is recommended that all smoke alarms be replaced 10 years from the date of manufacture. This date has been provided on the product label which is located on the back of the alarm.
