how does the vitalcall service work?

Simply wear one of our wrist, neck, brooch or long range pendants. In case of an emergency, simply press the button on the pendant. VitlCall does the rest. A 10 second alert will confirm your call to our Response Centre. A VitalCall Response Centre Operator will assist you and arrange assistance*. On request, an Operator can continue to talk to you until help arrives. We can call an ambulance, friends or family. * If no voice contact can be made, we will attempt to contact you via your telephone. If no contact can be made, we will notify the Ambulance Service.

what is the range of the pendant?

The pendant range varies depending on the installed unit and in some cases the structure of the house. In most cases VitalCall pendants have a 100 metre range in open space - in line with the Australian Standard 4607:1999. Our long range pendant has a range of up to 300 metres. We can test the pendant range in your home during the demonstration by our VitalCall representative. 

DO i need to test the unit?

To ensure that you are familiar with the use, and to check that the unit if functioning properly, we request customers to test the unit once a monthl. Pick an easy to remember date such as your birthday. If your birthday is on the 12th of December, we can set your unit to be tested on the 12th of each month. This procedure only applies to older style models. .

WHAT do i do if my unit is not working?

In the unlikely event of your unit not operating correctly, simply phone our Customer Service Team on 1300 360 808. In most cases we can resolve problems over the phone. Where problems can not be resolved over the phone, VitalCall will replace the unit at no additional cost to you. 

can i wear the unit in the shower?

VitalCall's range of pendants are waterproof and can be worn in the shower. However, our long range pendant is only water resistant, ensuring assistance is never far away, in the unlikely event of a rain shower.
