VitalCALL EVE 3G is designed to send an alert for assistance when a customer presses the help button or sensor is activated within the home and garden area. Alerts are received by VitalCALL's 24/7 Response Centre so help can be organised.
The Pearl pendant also has an activation light function. This means when an individual presses their Pearl help button and the medical alert is received by the unit the outer edge of Pearl flashes red to let the user know their alert for help has been received, providing reassurance that help is being summoned with VitalCALL's response centre.

Is this VitalCALL System right for me if I have NBN?
Yes, in fact this is VitalCALL’s preferred method for customers on the NBN. The VitalCALL EVE 3G has the additional benefit to bypass the fixed telephone network, therefore bypassing any potential issues with the NBN connection. This system works similar to a mobile phone, where calls are made from the unit using a 3G SIM card.
What if the mobile network is down?
Unfortunately, this situation is outside VitalCALL's control. If the Mobile network is down, the emergency message cannot be sent. The new VitalCALL EVE 3G performs a self check every day. If the unit does not communicate with our monitoring centre for more than 2 days consecutive, an alarm is activated on the monitoring centre.
Does this system cost more than a regular VitalCALL?
Yes, the monthly rental/monitoring will increase by a few dollars only. However, you no longer will receive charges from your local telephone company for the cost of local calls every time your VitalCALL is activated.
Will I still have to pay for the cost of a local call every time my VitalCALL is activated?

Will I have to pay separately for a SIM card every month?

Can I choose the SIM card provider?
No. As this SIM card is part of the VitalCALL system and property of VitalCALL, users cannot choose the SIM card provider or change the SIM card. VitalCALL has a selection of SIM card providers including Telstra and Optus, to ensure our users enjoy the best coverage and rates for our customers.
Can I move this unit if I’m staying with friends or family?
Yes, however, you will be required to notify VitalCALL so we can update the new address on your emergency file. This is extremely important. Failure to notify VitalCALL of your temporary change of address can result in emergency services being dispatched to the wrong address.
Do I need a landline or a home phone for VitalCALL's personal alarm devices?
No. The new VitalCALL EVE 3G does not require a fixed telephone line to operate. This system works similar to a mobile phone, where calls are made from the unit using a 3G SIM card.
How do I clean the equipment?
Use a mild detergent on a damp cloth. Do not use harsh detergents or chemicals, or too much water.
How often should I test my VitalCALL?
We recommend testing the equipment every month. To make it easier to remember, you should test your VitalCALL by pressing the pendant on the day of your birthday, every month.
Can the alarm be installed with more than one phone?
Yes, this unit bypasses your fixed phone. There are no limits to how many phones you can have in the house.
What happens if the power fails, or during a black-out?
The alarm will run for up to 48 hours on its internal battery.
What if I set my pendant off by accident?
The alarm can be cancelled while the alarm is sounding. If the call goes through don’t worry, just tell the Operator you are OK.
I am changing my telephone company. Will this affect my VitalCALL system?
Not if you have the new VitalCALL EVE 3G. This system works similar to a mobile phone, where calls are made from the unit using a 3G SIM card.
Can I use my VitalCALL in an electrical storm?
Yes, unlike your telephone, there is no danger in using the pendant or watch to call for help during an electrical storm. However, avoid touching the wires or the VitalCALL Unit. Only use the pendant or watch. After a severe storm it is always a good idea to test the telephone for dial-tone and also test the alarm.
What happens if the telephone line is disconnected?
There is no impact to your VitalCALL EVE 3G. This system works similar to a mobile phone, where calls are made from the unit using a 3G SIM card.
Will the pendant or watch battery ever need replacing?
Not normally. The battery is designed to last for many years, even if the pendant or watch is used every day. The battery is automatically tested every time the button is pressed. If the yellow Pendant Reminder Light on the front of the VitalCALL Unit is flashing, the pendant battery is getting low. Contact the VitalCALL for a replacement pendant.
What should I do with the pendant or wrist band when I’m in the shower or bath?
The pendant and watch are designed to be waterproof to International Environmental Protection Standard IP-67, so they can be taken into the shower or bath. Make sure you test the pendant or wrist band regularly.
Will the alarm still work with the internet (also known as ADSL, DSL or broadband) connected to my telephone line?
Yes, your Internet or fixed home phone service have no impact to your VitalCALL EVE 3G. This system works similar to a mobile phone, where calls are made from the unit using a 3G SIM card.
My telephone service is going to be changed to a wireless, cable, or Internet service. Will this affect my medical alarm?
If you have the New VitalCALL EVE 3G changing your internet or phone provider will have no impact on your VitalCALL service. If you require clarification, please contact VitalCALL on 1300 360 808 for assistance.
The NBN is being installed in my area. Will this affect my medical alarm?
The new VitalCALL EVE 3G bypasses the NBN, so you don’t need to worry about your NBN connection affecting your VitalCALL.
From what distance will the pendant or watch operate?
In most situations, anywhere around the home and in the garden. The pendant or watch range can vary widely depending on the type of construction of the building and other environmental factors. The VitalCALL representative will perform a range test during your installation.
